Beverley has led multiple fungi forages for National Trust properties, she is a keen beekeeper, owl rescuer, Horticulture and Landscape Lecturer. She also fought for, developed and left a legacy of council run ecological projects in and around the Derbyshire area.
With the aim of transitioning from an all consuming IT career, having gained various qualifications as a volunteer for the Youth Service along the way, I have delivered pastoral support for a number of Midlands based schools and have worked in hot spot areas alongside the Police to empower young people to achieve their short-term educational and long-term career goals.
I have supported both FE main stream learners and those with learning disabilities to overcome their educational and care challenges. I served a full term as a governor for a large Staffordshire college, representing learners & colleagues proactively at the highest levels.
I also currently volunteer for Acorns Children's Hospice as a part of their sibling support program.
